I’m all for floaty dresses and funky print playsuits as much as the next fashion junkie, but as soon as the leaves start to turn that pretty shade of orange and the air becomes that bit cooler, I start dreaming about chunky knits, comfortable ankle boots and cosy nights in front of a good film!
Autumn is a funny ole season really, as some days the sun decides to shine so brightly that it has you wondering if it’s really pumpkin spice latte season after all (plot twist: I AM NOT EVEN A FAN).
So, what the hell do you wear in this strange in-between period?
I’ve been slowly but surely transitioning into my autumn wardrobe, and have rounded up a few of my favourite pieces that are seeing me through to hot chocolate weather.
Who said florals are just for summer? Well, not many actually, considering the vast range of winter florals that are everywhere at the minute. As a massive floral fan, I love wearing them all year round. One of my favourite pieces is this dress I picked up last winter fromMonki– it’s so comfy and I love the retro print!
If you need a dress to eat pizza in – this is it. Endless room for your food baby.
What happens when the weather is starting to get a bit chillier, but you don’t want to melt in a coat? You head over toBoohoo and order yourself a denim jacket. Well, that’s what I did anyway. It came with a 20% off discount code so it was a complete bargain! It’s loose enough to fit a cute jumper underneath, and I love the pretty pastel pink colour. Leather jackets are great for this time of year too.
My pumps recently took a battering as I stepped right into a puddle and covered my exposed foot in muddy water. Through gritted teeth, I finally admitted it was time to put my slip ons back in the cupboard and dig out a good old pair of ankle boots.
So versatile, ankle boots work with jeans, tights, and bare legs! I love my trusty pair from H&M as I wear them everywhere from weekends exploring to nights out.
